Benefits of Joining Beith Golf Club

1.

Subject to competition and some membership restrictions, unlimited Access to "your" Course. Beith Golf Club is a "Members Club" – being a member gives you the opportunity to play when you like and as often as you like.

2.

Play Competitive Golf – only by being a member of a golf club can you play regular official club competitions. We offer weekend and midweek competitions.

3.

Choose How Much You Play – you could choose only to play 9 holes. Subject to tee times and competitions, it is usually possible to just play either the front or back nine if you wish. This is a great way to practice and useful when the Spring and Autumn nights are not so long.

4.

Value for Money – golf is not expensive as expensive as you might think. We have a range of membership packages to suit your needs, with the option of payment by Monthly Standing Order.

5.

A Sport for Life – unlike sports such as football and rugby, you can play competitive golf for most of your life, from the age of 8 to over 80, with people the same age, much older or much younger than you.

6.

A Great Clubhouse Environment – the clubhouse is a great place for eating, drinking and socialising with your friends, with value for money prices.

7.

A Sense of Belonging – membership of a golf club is a great way to be part of the local community and network with other people from the area; golf clubs often form a vital part of the local town or area.

8.

Meet New People – a chance to meet like-minded people, forming life-long friendships.

9.

Preferential Green Fees at Other Clubs – members of affiliated clubs can access preferential green fees at some of the best courses in Scotland through the SGU Special Offers scheme, including Royal Troon, Muirfield and Gleneagles.

10.

Play Three other private courses (Niddry Castle, Glencorse and Turnhouse) for the price of your membership.

11.

Gain an official CONGU handicap – only by being a member of an SGU/SLGA affiliated golf club can you attain an official CONGU handicap, giving you the opportunity to play competitions at your home course and others.

12.

Get your handicap down! – playing competitions regularly at your home club or in other Open competitions gives you the chance to get your handicap down to your targeted level – what most golfers are striving for throughout their life!

13.

Play in Matches against other clubs. The Garnock Valley competition is a 36 hole competition – being part of a club, you will have opportunity of representing your club in matches against other clubs, in your local area or further afield, whether you are a senior or junior, man or woman.

14.

The Scottish Golf Card – if you are a member of an affiliated club, you can buy the new Scottish Golf Card which gives you 50% off standard green fees at many other courses across Scotland.

16.

Invite Your Friends – we offer preferential ‘Members’ Guest Rate’ green fees giving you the chance to invite your friends to play your course. You also get 4 "free" guest passes each year.

17.

Play National Championships – the SGU and SLGA run a number of national championships, only for members of affiliated clubs, from elite level to handicap based events.

18.

Stay Healthy – golf is a great way of getting regular exercise with most courses requiring a walk of 4 miles or more in lovely fresh air.
