The decision to revert to the old 9 holes has proved to be a good one.
We have had many new members over the last couple of months, and we get enquiries regularly.
9 holes appears to be appealing, and with the Wednesday 9 hole competition gaining numbers, things are looking good.
Local golf professional, Grant Gilmour, is giving lessons on the old 18th which we maintain as a driving range, with a putting green and greenside bunker.
We are in the process of making things a bit more interesting, by implementing two separate tees for each hole. We hope to trial this in September and see what feedback we get.
As for this year, we are financially sound, and also have plans to upgrade the clubhouse. A committee is being formed for this purpose.
Many members also give time to doing work on both the course and clubhouse, and with that support, and the continuing increase of new members, the future is bright.
