Out of Bounds & Course Boundaries Rule 18.2a
Beyond any wall, fence, hedge, white lines or white stakes defining the boundary of the course.

Abnormal Course Conditions & Integral Objects Rule 16.1
- Ground Under Repair — play is prohibited, marked by closed white lines or blue stakes. Includes: any outcrop of rock in the semi-rough or closely mown area; seeded ground (not seeded divots); French drains (stone-filled drainage ditches). The player must take relief under Rule 16-1.
- Immovable Obstructions include: artificial surfaces and sides of roads, paths and bridges within the boundary (except within the upward margins of a hazard); artificial & winter teeing grounds (when not in play); distance markers on closely mown areas; sprinklers & drainage covers; concrete distance markers (not on the hole in play); concrete, stone or wooden steps; metal or wooden benches & their supports; electricity/telegraph poles & attached supports; water fountain at the 8th green; pots or barrels containing soil and/or plants; the cairns on the 1st & 3rd holes; warning bells. Unless dropping zones are in use, drop at the nearest point of relief — not the nicest.
- Animal Holes include: the loose material dug out of the hole; any worn track or trail leading into the hole; any area on the ground pushed up as a result of digging underground. The player must take relief under Rule 16-1.
- Temporary Water — any temporary accumulation of water on the surface that is not in a penalty area and can be seen before or after the player takes a stance (without pressing down excessively). Ground being merely wet, muddy or soft does not qualify; the accumulation must remain visible before or after the stance is taken.
Integral Parts of the Course — Unplayable Ball Rule 19
All walls within the boundary of the course and stiles over boundary fences. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable under Rule 19.2.
Moveable Obstructions Rule 15.2
Stones in bunkers; black & white marker poles; water & lateral water hazard markers; decorative fences; ball washers; distance markers not on closely mown areas.
Overhead Wires & Electricity/Telegraph Poles Rule 14.6
If a ball strikes an electricity/telegraph pole, its attached supports or overhead wires, the stroke must be cancelled and replayed without penalty under Rule 14.6.
Prompt Pace of Play Rule 5.6b
Players should play at a prompt pace throughout the round.
