⚠️ This is a hilly course with an increased risk of slipping. Please read this guide before commencing your round.

Golfer's Code of Safe Practice

Footwear

All golfers must ensure they have golf shoes adequate and suitable for the ground and weather conditions on the day. The course, its steps and surfaces may be slippery when damp or wet. Take care on steep banks and when entering and leaving deep-sided bunkers.

Emergency Assistance

Carry a mobile phone (on silent) to summon assistance in an emergency.

If you need to call Emergency Services on 999, give the postcode KA15 2JR (Threepwood Road, Beith) and the location of the incident.

Inclement Weather

During inclement weather — darkness, rain, fog, frost or ice — the fact that the course has not been officially closed does not mean it is fit for play. Members and visitors should themselves determine whether it is safe to play. Players have a duty of care to behave in such a way that others are not injured, and to ensure they do not injure themselves. All players play at their own risk.

Lightning

In the event of an electrical storm, suspend play immediately.

Shelters do not provide adequate protection from lightning. Do not continue play in poor visibility when you cannot see the clear distance of your intended shot.

Insurance

Beith Golf Club does not provide liability insurance to members, guests or visitors. All golfers must ensure they are adequately insured in respect of the risks involved with playing golf, including 3rd party cover for death or bodily injury, and loss or damage to material property.
